Tile laying – Conventional method vs Adhesive method
Conventional method (Thick bed system)
Fixing of tiles in fresh cement mortar bed (thickness 10mm & above) with cement slurry/paste is called as “Conventional method”. This is also called as Thick bed system, because fresh bed for fixing is more than 10mm.
Adhesive method (Thin bed system)
Fixing of tiles in harden base & with tile adhesive is called as “Adhesive method”. This is also called as Thin bed system, because Adhesive thickness will be less than 10mm.
